Rene Marie Russo was an American actor, filmmaker and supermodel. Known for her elegant beauty her long-standing presence in the demanding film industry shows her talents and abilities as an actor. When she was a model in her early years, she first began modeling in the 70s. She quickly became prominent in the modeling industry. In the following decade, she began studying acting and theatre prior to appearing on stage at Los Angeles and elsewhere in California. Russo first appeared on television on ABCs Sable with the character Eden Kendell, in 1987. In the following year she portrayed Tom Berengers love interest in her debut movie Major League. The critics were initially skeptical about her acting skills, but her consistent performance won them over. They were particularly impressed by her performance in Wolfgang Petersens Outbreak in which she held her own against the likes as Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. In her own words, she was never a fanatic about acting. After a prolonged break, she self-imposed on herself to act in 2005. The reason she returned was her role in Thor. She also appeared in the Oscar award-winning film Nightcrawler that was written and produced by husband. Then she went on to play in light-hearted comedies like The Intern and Just Getting Started.
Rose Namajunas ranks among the best UFC female fighters. She began her career in amateur fighting, taking part in numerous regional promotions before signing to Invicta Fighting Championships and later signing up with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Since joining the UFC, she has been a household name thanks her achievements both within and outside the octagon. Namajunas was a Lithuanian who immigrated to the United States. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 29, 1992. Rose participated in kickboxing and basketball as a child. Invicta Fighting Championships was her debut professional bout. When she was 18, she had already won two bouts via submission. This caught the attention of Dana White who signed her to be a part of the UFC Strawweight at the age of 22. Through Rose's professional career, she's experienced periods of extremes and lows, but every times she has come out ahead. Rose defeated Carla Esparza to win the Women s Strawweight Championship in The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. Rose won with a technical knockout after just three minutes of the round One. Rose was also awarded Fighter Of The Night and made history as it marked the first time women had ever competed on a level of championships in a major promotional organization across the globe. Namajunas had a number of wins following this fight and received the title of Performance Of The Night by UFC in her fights against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
